In December, my book "Rhythms of Resilience" was launched. But soon after, something else was born. On January 12th, 2023, my wife gave birth to our fourth child and my first son!
Meet Titan Hart.
Life has been busy, challenging, and full. We truly believe that our children are arrows in our quiver. They are an arrow we are stretching far back, believing that there is nothing that changes the world more than godly people birthed from godly families.
You Named Him Titan?
When I share his name with people, they are often taken aback or curious by how strong a name it is. This, however, was exactly the revelation given to my wife Esther and I when the Lord put his name on our hearts. Titan means someone of great stature, a giant.
In the generation we are living in, we sense that we are in great need of strong godly men. For they are a cure for many of the ailments of our suffering society.
But Titan is unlike the world's definition of what a "strong" man is. All of their definitions and pursuits fail miserably. As a result, we are churning out men who destroy, not build. Men who love themselves and not others. Men of fear, not fight.
Titan is named in the likeness of my favorite biblical man: King David. He was a man of strength, valor, and courage. But at the same time, he was also a man who could weep before God. In short, he will have the sword of David and the heart of David. And he will have what I think our world lacks in what it means to be a godly man.
This is why his name is Titan Hart.
-Thanks to everyone who has sent congratulations, blessings, and helped out with our meal train.
Blessings to you all, Phil
