God doesn’t waste any season.
The other day, I was talking with someone who was walking through something hard. And while their situation wasn’t the same as mine, it was close enough that I felt the Holy Spirit prompt me to share a story—one I hadn’t spoken about in years.
It was from a rough chapter of my life. One I didn’t fully understand at the time. Honestly? I’m not sure I even trusted God all the way through it.
But here I was, years later, watching God take that old pain and turn it into present-day encouragement for someone else.
That conversation got me thinking: What if that whole difficult season was for this one moment?
Would it still be worth it?
I think it would.
Jesus is the Lord of our lives. He knows every chapter, every detour, every struggle. Scripture says He knows the number of hairs on our heads. Which means He hasn’t lost track of a single second of your story.
He’s the master tactician. The gentle shepherd. The wise architect. And if there’s one thing I know—He doesn’t waste seasons.
He’ll use the joyful ones. He’ll use the dark ones. He’ll use the waiting ones. Sometimes you don’t even see the purpose until decades later.
So if you’re in a tough season right now, be encouraged. God is not done with this part of your story. He may be digging out something now that will bless someone else twenty years from today.
You may not feel it yet—but your life is in His hands.
And He doesn’t waste a thing.
You were made for goodness,
Phil
