Here's my problem with all or nothing Christianity
Yes! Thank you! Repurposing is the next step after surrendering to God's will in it and is about inviting Jesus into it. The posture of surrendering can sometimes mean abdicating responsibility for our part in it.
YES "abdicating responsibility" this is why I dont like just ending it with surrender. true surrender (and faithfulness) requires ACTION.
I love this. Surrendering has a negative stigma sometimes, so context and reframing it helps get people started!

I think you're right. Perhaps the better way to describe what I'm trying to explain is "Surrender starts the repurposing."
I think I'm commenting on how people just have surrender but no action after that.
