I was taught something a few years back that has helped tremendously: when we worry about the future we are worrying about something we will never exist in. Only God exists in the future. So when we attempt to plan, prepare, and be in the future, we are trying to be God. Reminds me of the garden. We have to trust in the Lord to walk us into the future He holds for us. And not try and live in the fantasy of a future never happening.

"The entire picture" is an illusion and doesn't exist for us - that's God's job. Just be faithful in the next step. God will bless you with the big stuff if you can be trusted with the little stuff, like what's in front of you.
